March 9, 2020: After conversations with A4L/SDPC Board Members, health experts, our various partners and the DC hotel for the gathering, we will be moving the A4L/SDPC Interoperability and Privacy Symposium to early July and hold it in conjunction with STATS DC.

As we have indicated in previous email updates, we want to ensure your safety and this seems the most prudent path forward.  Some states have been classified as in emergency status and are limiting travel, and there has just been confirmed cases in DC.  We are sorry for the inconvenience but as you know it is the norm now.

The re-scheduled dates will be Mon July 6th (3 pm start), 7th (all day) and 8th (ends noon) at the same hotel (The Churchill Hotel near Embassy Row) where we are booked now.  These dates overlap with the NCES Forum meetings, but our registrants mostly do not overlap.  You need to contact the Churchill Hotel directly (tel:1-844-823-4697) to cancel your room.  There is no charge as they have a 48 hour cancellation policy. The airlines have been very good about changes to flights so we hope you rebook air and a room to be a part of the festivities in July.  Summer rates are even better!

We will send more information to registered participants about the rescheduled meetings and re-booking hotel, rates, registration transfers, agenda, invitees, etc. very soon.

More to come and stay healthy!

Come join us...

The Student Data Privacy Consortium (SDPC) and Access 4 Learning (A4L) Community, together with several Partners, will be hosting two days of “tactical” data interoperability and privacy conversations with real-world work products.   While many are focused on managing the interoperability and privacy of student data, only A4L is addressing both in the same place at the same time.

Audience:  This event will be of interest to any/all School District and State Leaders committed to data privacy and data exchange.  Keynote speakers include CEDS, Future of Privacy Forum, PTAC, Project Unicorn, SIIA, and numerous state and local CIOs - all the major players including media!

Sessions on privacy complexities; setting a foundation for interoperability; working ‘Strategies’ session; an overview of Massachusetts ‘Data Hub’; as well as valuable takeaways for participants to implement in their own institutions!
